While much of it still remains a mystery, and probably always will, I did enjoy learning more about him. Poor Vayl and Jaz, they never seem to be able to catch a break when it comes to their budding relationship. So far, I’m still on the fence about this series. Bergman was mostly absent in bbitten novel, and I missed his new gadgets he comes up with. The plot is action-packed jumping jenifer into it as Jaz points Grief at a vamp, with twists that will keep you guessing. Jaz tends to go off on tangents with the voices in her head and if you looke attention you’ll forget what’s going on when Jaz finally returns to reality. Apr 24, Felicia rated it it was ok Shelves: Jennifer Rardin, who has died unexpectedly at the age of 45, was the author of the popular Jaz Parks series of urban fantasies featuring vampires, martial arts and paranormal terrorists. So, I’m giving 3 stars, and almost gave more, but I really think that put only 3 of the 6 main characters of this serie was a huge mistake I suppose this may be a transitional book, but I thought this book was a bit weak on character development.
In this installment, we learn more about Vayl’s past as he and Jaz visit his former Vampere Trust. This is the fourth book in the Jaz Parks series by Jennifer Rardin. Meet me out back later. Jaz is so frightened of getting hurt again that she is scared to show her feelings, this is understandable but it is good to see her start to realise how much she already cares for Vayl.
I am not sure if I want to see it all the way through to the end. They come to feast at the feeders while I write on the back porch in the cool of the morning.
Jaz runs around trying to save Vayl from himself again; and Jaz and Vayl’s relationship seems to be treading water.

But once the gang arrives at the Trust they learn that Hamon has been murdered, ruining their previous plans. A kick-ass heroine, a hot vampire boss, quirky and fun sidekicks and a lot of action and adventure… What else can you ask of an Urban Fantasy series? It is obviously gone for the moment because while there were big dath in the last book, this one was pretty dreadful overall.
After years, the man needs to let bittne go.
Sparks fly and fires follow and not the way you think. Stephen King would be proud. It teetered on the edge of too much, but I felt as though Rardin pulled it back just enough. The combination of the two worlds, reality and fantasy, makes the genre my favourite and one in which I’ll never tire of writing.

It is obvious that she will never choose him, and I think he knows that. And based on Vayl being flat and Jaz irritating, how did these two decide they want each other? It’s hard writing and it comes off great. Jasmine “Jaz” Parks was originally created as a sidekick but, as she continued to write, Rardin found that Parks was the character through whom the story was best told.
